Natural or organic makeup

Natural or organic, vegan or halal make up?

Happy New Year to All Green Beauty Lovers! I wish you to keep healthy and green the whole year!

Today I would like to talk to you, my beautiful green ladies. Probably you are still at the beginning of switching to natural makeup alternatives or you are just exploring new organic brands.

So, what to choose – organic or natural makeup, vegan or halal cosmetics? Let's start from the definition first.

When a makeup is certified organic, they have to meet a strict organic certifying standard in all ingredients and processes, which prohibits them from using some ingredients found in natural products such as talc or toxic ingredients.

While the term isn’t regulated at all, not all products with the word “natural” on their labels are frauds. Just look at the ingredients. Remember that they’re listed from highest percentage to lowest, so aim to pick a product where synthetic ingredients are mainly at the bottom of the list.

A product that is vegan does not contain any animal ingredients or animal-derived ingredients. This includes, but is not limited to, honey, beeswax, lanolin, collagen, albumen, carmine, cholesterol, gelatin, and many others.

Halal cosmetics range from lipsticks to mascaras that are produced without any pork, dog, or alcohol ingredients. Halal also stresses the significance of a holistic lifestyle, so the concept of what constitutes a product as “halal” goes beyond the ingredients used and includes the packaging, manufacturing, as well as the distribution methods.

Mineral makeup is made up of minerals such as iron oxides, talc, zinc oxide and titanium dioxide. They are ground and milled or broken into very tiny particles to create the make-up.

If you are looking for a truly organic, vegan and halal makeup, have a look at INIKA organic certified products.

It is №1 certified organic make-up brand, trusted worldwide and the makeup of choice for stylishly natural women everywhere. All products in the natural cosmetic range are Certified Organic or Vegan, Certified Halal and Certified Cruelty Free.

INIKA certified organic lip liner pencils are truly flawless, truly natural, truly you  - formulated to glide on easily, while delivering even colour.

One of my favourites in INIKA is their line of mineral bronzers. It adds a beautiful sun-kissed glow to your skin that looks and feels natural. Shade and contour your facial features or dust all over your face and décolletage. If you are fair to medium complexions like me, opt for a Sunkissed tone.

Another worth of trying organic and natural brand – Green People with its natural makeup for a perfect complexion.

If you prefer all-in-one coverage with a light tint have a look at the UK’s first certified organic Tinted Moisturiser, a Daily Defence (DD) SPF15.  Like the BB cream and the CC cream, it has a brightening and anti-ageing ingredients. But because of the “defence” aspect, Green People DD cream has a sunscreen. This anti-ageing solution with Sea Fennel stem cells gives blendable coverage for a smooth and even skin tone. The good thing - it is Ecocert Certified.

If you are looking for a brightening primer, foundation, moisturizer, SPF and anti-ageing cream, go for a CC cream. Andalou 1000 Roses CC Color + Correct is a color correcting cream with alpine rose stem cells. It is vegan, cruelty-free and made with Certified Organic Ingredients.

For those fans of purely mineral makeup I would highly recommend to try Bellapierre cosmetics!  As women, we love colour, but we want our mineral make up to look natural. This is exactly the effect what Bellápierre gives - a product which looks subtle but makes the skin glow with a natural vibrancy.

An absolute must have for your makeup bag is a Bellapierre Compact Mineral Foundation!

All you will ever need to perfect your look, this Compact Foundation is a 5-in-1 compact that acts as a concealer, foundation, setting powder and SPF 15 protection all-in-one.  It is also vegan.

Not to forget to mention Bellapierre gorgeous range of mineral lispticks. Based on Castor, Jojoba and Sunflower Seed Oils, Honeysuckle Flower Extract and Vitamins, this silky lipstick does nothing but good things for your lips. It does not contain lead, lanolin, parabens, or other harmful ingredients.

So, don’t hesitate, always opt for non-toxic makeup products whether you choose a purely organic line, vegan or mineral cosmetics and follow my advices!

Sincerely yours,

Green Lady.
